Business Development Manager at BrightRoll in San Francisco, CA

BrightRoll helps leading agencies, representing brands such as Wal-Mart, Hewlett-Packard and Sony Pictures, launch and execute "smart video ad campaigns" across the industry's leading publishers including over half of the top 100 online media properties in the United States. BrightRoll's proprietary campaign execution, inventory management and advertising delivery technology provide brands and agencies with the reach, frequency and scalability needed to achieve their campaign goals.

We're currently looking for a Business Development Manager who will be responsible for sourcing, developing and closing partnerships with branded online publishers, and managing partnerships already in place.

The ideal candidate will be an experienced relationship manager who can bring their business and partner development skills to BrightRoll to develop and manage complex, revenue-focused partner relationships for our growing Media & Publishing team. In this high-visibility role you will be responsible for identifying, structuring, and helping to negotiate and close revenue-generating relationships with the web's top publishers.

You will report to and work with the VP, Network development to help build the publisher pipeline, and leverage existing publisher contacts and cold-calling techniques to educate prospects on the BrightRoll value proposition and set up meetings for the senior team. Additionally, you'll attend prospect and client meetings and work as part of the Network Development team to help close prospects. You will assist in the contracts process (document comparisons, version control, trafficking changes to Legal and prospect, etc.). You'll work closely with the media, sales and tech teams to help drive the business' overall goals.

Post-execution, you will be responsible for helping to manage the publisher integration and rich media approval processes, working closely with the Media team, and you'll put your analytical skills to work to ensure that these partners achieve specific objectives.

-Manage the integration process from start to completion, working cross functionally with sales, media, and engineering to ensure publisher satisfaction.

-Broaden publisher approvals of our proprietary in banner video ad units. Work creatively with publisher requirements and client needs to come up with effective, high yielding, and user friendly ad units.

Responsibilities:

* Identifying, structuring, helping to negotiate and close revenue-generating relationships with leading prospects

* Managing pipeline of multiple prospects to aggressive deadlines, deal structure goals and successful resolution

* Managing partner relationships and integration/rich media approvals

* Identifying emerging market trends and translating these to prospects
* Working cross-functionally within BrightRoll to ensure that revenue targets and account-based objectives are achieved

Requirements:

* BA/BS or equivalent required, MBA a plus

* High level of experience in partner management, strategic account management, and/or client-facing product management with an Internet or search company and understanding of online advertising, including paid search, contextual search, graphical and rich media advertising formats.

* Experience with Internet video a huge plus

* Revenue focused, including solid history of revenue building successes and excellent negotiation and analytical skills across contractual, technical and financial areas
* Sector experience in any of the following areas: newspaper, consumer and B2B publishing, broadcast media, web portals, social networks and entertainment companies
* High level of comfort escalating and presenting key deal issues to senior management

* Strong understanding of and interest in the impact of Internet technologies on consumption of media across the US. EMEA experience a plus.

* Track record of excellent partner communication and presentation skills and ability to quickly understand contracts with strong attention to detail

* Willingness and desire to be a key individual contributor and strong team player
