We are currently looking for a Director of Network Development who will be responsible for sourcing, developing and closing partnerships with branded online publishers.
BrightRoll is seeking an experienced business developer who can bring his or her business and partner development skills and strong publisher relationships to BrightRoll to develop complex, revenue-focused partner relationships for our growing Media & Publishing team. In this high-visibility role you will be responsible for identifying, structuring, negotiating and closing revenue-generating relationships with the web's top publishers.
You will work with the VP, Network development to cultivate and close publisher partnerships within an assigned prospect list. You will leverage existing publisher contacts, BrightRoll marketing efforts and cold-calling techniques to educate prospects on the BrightRoll value proposition. You will manage the contracts process for your deals (document comparisons, version control, trafficking changes to Legal and prospect, etc.). You'll work closely with the media, sales and tech teams to help drive the business' overall goals.
Post-execution, you will be responsible for effectively transitioning the partner relationship to the integration and account management teams, and you'll put your analytical skills to work to ensure that these partners achieve specific objectives.
Responsibilities:
* Identifying, structuring, negotiating and closing revenue-generating relationships within an assigned prospect list
* Managing pipeline of multiple prospects to aggressive deadlines, deal structure goals and successful resolution
* Identifying emerging market trends and translating these to prospects
* Working cross-functionally within BrightRoll to ensure that revenue targets and account-based objectives are achieved
Requirements:
* BA/BS or equivalent required, MBA a plus
* High level of experience in partner business development and/or strategic selling with an Internet or search company and understanding of online advertising, including graphical and rich media advertising formats.
* Experience with Internet video a huge plus
* Experience with one of the major core sales disciplines (e.g. Value Selling, Strategic Selling, SPIN Selling, etc.)
* Demonstrated success achieving quarterly quotas and/or MBO goals
* Revenue focused, including solid history of revenue building successes and excellent negotiation and analytical skills across contractual, technical and financial areas
* Sector experience in any of the following areas: newspaper, consumer and B2B publishing, broadcast media, web portals, social networks and entertainment companies
* High level of comfort escalating and presenting key deal issues to senior management
* Strong understanding of and interest in the impact of Internet technologies on consumption of media across the US. EMEA experience a plus.
* Track record of excellent partner communication and presentation skills and ability to quickly understand contracts with strong attention to detail
* Willingness and desire to be a key individual contributor and strong team player concurrently
