BrightRoll is the world's largest and most trusted video advertising network, having served more than 1 billion advertisements in 12 months. BrightRoll is a privately held; venture- backed company and holds its headquarters in San Francisco, CA.

BrightRoll is looking for a solid, energetic Ruby on Rails developer to work on our core RoR application. This application is core to our business, and this person would be the primary owner of this project. This is a full-time position in our San Francisco office and will report to the CTO. Brightroll's engineering group is a small, but very talented team.

The qualified candidate will be responsible for the design, research, implementation, and maintenance of our core Ruby on Rails application. These units have already had over 1 billion views.

Responsibilities

Innovate on the Rails framework, try new things, and contribute to the community
Participate in all phases of the software development cycle (understands what it takes to ship)
Work closely with product management and other members of engineering
Experience working with UI and graphic designers.

Requirements

B.S. in Computer Science or equivalent
2+ years software development experience
6+ months of development in Ruby on Rails
Experience building Ajax interfaces is required

Test driven development experience
You should care a lot about writing solid code in our agile environment.
You should always strive to create a great user experience.
Experience building financial applications is a plus
Previous development experience in languages other than Ruby (Python, Perl, PHP)
Experience with CPU/Memory optimization, JavaScript/Cross-browser issues
